Goat Cheese Grilled Cheese with Honey & Spice

 

Golden, creamy, and packed with flavor – this goat cheese grilled delight is the perfect balance of savory, sweet and a little spice.


Ingredients

2 slices of sourdough bread

2 oz goat cheese

2 oz white cheddar or mozzarella (shredded)

2 tbsp liquid honey

3 tbsp butter (melted)

¼ tsp red pepper flakes

Directions

1.      Put a layer of butter and goat cheese on both slices of your sourdough bread.

2.      Add your shredded white cheddar or mozzarella cheese on one piece of bread.

3.      Drizzle honey on top of your shredded cheese.

4.      Combine both pieces of bread to make your sandwich.

5.       Melt the butter in a large saucepan on medium low heat with the red pepper flakes. This allows the butter to be infused with the spice from the flakes.

6.      Transfer your sandwich to the saucepan.

7.      Cook until the bottom of each slide of bread is toasted and golden brown and the cheese is melted, likely 5-7 minutes.

8.      Once done, drizzle the top of the sandwich with honey.

9.      Slice, serve, and enjoy!
