Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces of fresh goat cheese
  • 1 teaspoon allspice berries
  • 3 garlic cloves, smashed
  • 2 to 3-inch strips of orange zest
  • 2 fresh bay leaves
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 baguette, sliced ½ thick on a diagonal
  • Flaky sea salt

Ingredients:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees. Slice your bread and place evenly on a baking sheet, toast for about 5 to 8 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Use the flat side of a chef’s knife to crush your garlic and allspice berries. Zest an orange. In a small saucepan add your olive oil, crushed spices, garlic, red pepper flakes, bay leaves, and orange zest. Cook on low heat for about 10-15 minutes stirring occasionally until the garlic is golden brown.
  3. Break goat cheese into large pieces and arrange in serving bowl.
  4. Pour mixture over the goat cheese and let sit for about 15 minutes or until cool.
  5. Transfer your toasted bread to a tray and scoop your marinated goat cheese onto each piece of toast.
